Summary

Stars Reach Hub is a content site. We do not require accounts, we do not sell anything, and we do not ask you for personal information to read any page. There is no login, no newsletter signup and no user profile.

What data does exist comes from two ordinary sources: standard web server logs, and third-party services such as analytics and advertising if and when they are enabled. This page explains both.

Who we are

Stars Reach Hub is an independent, unofficial website about the video game Stars Reach, published at starsreachhub.com. It is operated by an individual, not a company, and is not affiliated with Playable Worlds, Inc. You can reach us through the contact page.

Information collected automatically

Like effectively every website, our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested. This typically includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page requested, the referring page, and the time of the request.

This information is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose faults. It is not used to build a profile of you, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it.

This site links extensively to external sources — Steam, Playable Worlds, news outlets, community wikis and video platforms — because citing sources is central to how we work. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices. Following a link means their policy applies, not ours.

Data retention and security

Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period as part of normal operations and then discarded. Analytics data is retained according to the provider’s configured retention period.

The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but since we do not collect payment details, passwords or accounts, the amount of sensitive data involved is minimal by design.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially — for example when advertising is first enabled — the updated date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
